About Me
I am 32 years old. I live in Cracow (South Poland). I was graduated in Italian Language and Literature.
I have been working for several years in Italian Institute of Culture as a teacher and translator.
Currently I work in Philip Morris International in Cracow in Human Resources Department. I use my English and my Italian every day in my work.
In my free time - after work and during weekends - I work as a translator. I like translating, I could say that this is my passion, it gives my opportunity to improve my knowledge of Italian, but not only, it offers a great occasion to develop myself in different areas.
Qualifications
My knowledge of Italian language isn't only based on Italia Language Studies, but also on several trips and stays in this Country. I am interested in Italian Policy, Culture and Tradition. I am reading a lot about Italian political and economic situation that is very useful in my work as translator.
Education
In the 2001 I graduated language studies in Italian language and Literature on Jagiellonian University in Cracow, I am master of Italian language and literature.
In October 2006 I started specialization on Jagiellonian University in Public Relations
Experience
From March 2005 to present:
I work as a translator and proof-reader for the company Mediasat Poland.
For this company I took part in translating of the "The History of Work" from Italian to Polish that is currently published as a supplement to Gazeta Wyborcza. I translated about 800 pages of the history and made some proof-reading of the other translations from Italian.
From October 2000 to January 2007:
I worked in Italian Institute of Culture in Cracow.
I was teaching university students and preparing them for internships with Italian universities.
I was making oral and written translations from Italian to Polish and Polish to Italian.
Among other things:
I took part as interpreter in negotiations between members of Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs an representation from hospitals of city of Cracow about reimbursement of purchase of medical equipment.
I took part as interpreter in preparation of reportage about the life and miracles of John Paul the II created by "Corriere della Sera".
From November 2005 to March 2006
I worked for an Italian Company Core sp. Z o.o.
I prepared Polish medical staff for work in Italian's hospitals. I was teaching doctors and nurses Italian language (ordinary and specialist medical terminology).
I was responsible for familiarize my students with Italian Labor Code and EHS principles.
From March 2005 to October 2005:
I worked for the Translations Agency "Lingua Expert".
I translated brochures, texts and booklets about history of Cracow and booklets about history of John Paul the II for authorities of Cracow (Urzad Miasta Krakowa).
I took part as an interpreter in negotiations between authorities of city of Cracow (Urząd Mista Krakowa) and city of Florence
From 2000 to present:
I work as a translator and interpreter. I realize orders for almost all types of translation from oral translation to written once. I make standard and specialist translations in different disciplines for private persons and for business.
I provided oral and written translations to Arexons, an Italian corporation, producer of car cosmetics.
I worked for SPAW Polska, importer of weld machinesand translated technical texts (Instruction of use of weld machines, business negotiations, trainings).
I worked as interpreter during presentations and training of using of varnishes for furniture.
